Various experiments in assistive kayak paddling grip designs. These are a continuing work in progress and none of these work as well as I would like. Some of the designs may be effective for casual paddling but I don’t think they’re adequate for open ocean kayaking. They are designed to fit Werner carbon shaft paddles.
I used 1 inch webbing and Velcro OneWrap for convenience. Eventually I expect the designs will use sewn straps that are easier to tighten or integrate into gloves.
Original design files are available on Onshape. I included
Printer Setting Rafts: Doesn’t Matter Supports: Doesn’t Matter
Notes: Printer: Eustathios and RigidBot Some of these designs will need to be oriented before printing. Some will require specific filaments to work.
