How It Works

3DPonics offers three different types of systems. Find the one that fits your needs. Remember, all plants need light to grow. Place your 3Dponics system near a window or in a brightly lit room. LED lamps or other artificial lighting systems will also work.

This method uses gravity and an air pump to push nutrients to the top of the system so that it can drip down into the plants. The unused portion filters into reservoir to be reused in the next watering cycle. It’s important to check the pH of the nutrient solution regularly and change the water every few weeks to promote optimal plant growth.

This self-circulating system uses a floating device that automatically opens up water flow to the plants. When the water level drops, the floating device opens the water flow to allow nutrient solution to reach the plans. The floating device rises when the appropriate water level is reached. This self-regulating system is easy to use, with no pump or electricity needed. You do need to change the nutrient solution every few weeks.

This is a pure hydroponic option and is the simplest of the three systems to use. It requires no power and very few materials, including three 2-liter plastic bottles; one with the base cut off for the plants and the other two to rotate water. You do need to manually water the plants every few days.
